Dance Defined Studio looks forward to this fun and exciting year. We have many new classes and dance styles to offer. Our unique program will give students the tools for advancement by providing them the very best in dance education. This year we are pleased to introduce and welcome our new dance instructors. Heidi Stevens: Owner / Instructor
Heidi Stevens graduated from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in May 2004, with a Bachelor of fine arts in dance, focusing in modern dance. Her dancing and performing abilities began as a young child. She began dancing at Arabesque Dance Studio for two years, and later attended Dance Defined Studio for fourteen years. While attending Dance Defined Studio she participated in numerous competitions and conventions throughout the Mid-West. During her career at UWM, she has had the opportunity to perform in a variety of faculty works, choreographed by Andre Tyson, and Simone Ferro. She has also studied with Ed Burgess, Marcia Parsons, Janet Lilly, Darcy Wutz, and Ferne Culker- Bronson, founder of the KO-THI Dance Company. Heidi has performed and been educated in tap, jazz, ballet, modern, and African dance.
Lenna Titizian is new to the state of Wisconsin, and is pleased to join the faculty at Dance Defined. Trained in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, Lenna has over 20 years of performance experience, and over 10 years of instruction and choreography experience. She is a motivated and enthusiastic teacher, who loves to share her love of dance with her students. Lenna's creative choreography captures the energy of her students, and helps them reach their full potential. Her past competitive students have won numerous overall awards at the regional and national levels, as well as special awards for their energy and commitment to their work. Lenna herself was a Canadian National Champion in 2003, and in 2004, she won a Gold Medal at the World Tap Dance Championships in Riesa, Germany, as a member of the Canadian National Tap Dance Team. Stacie Ermis has been dancing since she was five years old. At her former dance school, she was a member of the Kids company, Junior Company, Dance Company and numerous competition teams. She also was a member of the Milwaukee Wave Dance Team "Splash" for three years then Radio Disney Dancers for another three years. Throughout her High School and College career she has had the privilege of performing at several national events including the BCS Bowl and the MLB All Star Game. She has also competed in many Tremain and Company Dance competitions across the nation and has had the pleasure to train under such famed dancers as Laurie Johnson, Doug Caldwell, Brian Freedman, Chris Judd and Joe Tremain.
